Connect a client

Add Atrium to your assistant once. From then on it has the connectors your organization runs, plus the external MCP servers it has approved for you.

Your endpoint

https://atrium.savantly.cloud/api/mcp/{org-slug}

Replace {org-slug} with your organization slug — the Connect page in your dashboard shows the exact endpoint for your org.

Claude Code

The CLI connects over HTTP with an organization API key.

  1. 1. Create an API key on the API keys page (you'll see the full sk_org_… value once—copy it then).

  2. 2. Add the server, pasting your key in place of sk_org_YOUR_KEY:

    Add -s user to make it available across all your projects.

  3. 3. Confirm it's connected, then just ask:

    claude mcp list

No key? Omit the --header flag and Claude Code will sign you in with OAuth—run /mcp inside Claude Code to start the flow.

Claude Desktop

Desktop connects with OAuth—sign in with your account, no API key needed.

  1. 1. Open Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.

  2. 2. Name it Atrium and paste this as the remote MCP server URL:

    https://atrium.savantly.cloud/api/mcp/{org-slug}
  3. 3. Click Add, then Connect and approve access in the browser window that opens.

Then just ask

Tools from the connectors your org runs are already in the list — ask for the data directly:

  • “What tables are in the warehouse?”
  • “Which pages drove the most organic clicks last week?”
  • “Show me realtime active users by country.”

For the external servers your org has approved, ask about the catalog instead:

  • “What MCP servers does my company have for me?”
  • “Set up the GitHub one.”
  • “Is the filesystem server already installed?”

For catalog servers Atrium returns instructions only—it never edits your config files for you.

After a connector is added

Your client loads Atrium's tools when it connects and caches them. When an admin publishes a new hosted connector (such as a database) or grants you access, reconnect Atrium in your client to load its tools—toggle the connector off and on (Claude Desktop), or restart the session. Until then the new tools won't appear, even though they're ready on Atrium's side.
